EQUESTRIAN bedding producer Plevin, which owns the market-leading Snowflake and Woodpecker brands, has again secured naming rights for the UK’s biggest showjumping event in an exclusive sponsorship deal.
The 2013 Plevin British Showjumping Scope Festival takes place at Staffordshire County Showground from August 25 – August 31.
As part of the wide-ranging agreement, family-owned Plevin will supply 7,000 bales of its Snowflake Softchip bedding for use at the prestigious event. The dust-extracted product, which provides an alternative to traditional wood shavings, will be the only bedding used in approx. 1,400 temporary stables being built on the showground.
Plevin’s logo will feature on promotional literature, event announcements, tickets, brochures and the event’s website. The week-long festival hosts many national championship finals, as well as more than 70 riding classes.
This is the second year running that Plevin will be supplying its Snowflake Softchip bedding to this event.
Colin Smith, Sales Manager at Plevin said “I am delighted that we have again been successful in securing the event again, the positive feedback we received after last year’s event underlined our belief that our Snowflake Softchip bedding is one of the leading alternative bedding products available.”
Family-owned Plevin, which employs 150 people across five sites, manufactures a range of wood-based products from virgin and waste wood materials and the company collects, processes and distributes 600,000 tonnes of wood a year.
Through its Snowflake and Woodpecker brands respectively, the company is sponsoring Team GB Olympic showjumping gold medal winner Ben Maher and Matthew Wright.
