Nineteen runners from Plevin took part in the Great Manchester 10k run on Sunday (22 May 2016). 'Team Plevin' ran to raise money our charity of the year, the NSPCC, who work tirelessly to prevent child abuse.
The team had a fantastic day, completing the course in good time with no strains or blisters which is always a bonus. Two team members even managed to take a selfie with none other than Eric Pollard from Emmerdale, one of the celebrities taking part in the race!
So far, Plevin have raised over £800 towards the worthy charity but the donations are still kindly pouring in. Our just giving page is still open. If you would like to make a donation, please visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Team-Plevin to make your pledge.
This is the second time that Plevin have taken part in the race in aid of a charity, both of which have been memorable occassions. The atmospehere was fantastic and with such a buzz when crossing the finishing line that some of our runners have already been asking if we are taking part in 2017!
