Boston Site

Our site in Boston, Lincolnshire is the home of our wood pellet manufacturing plant and where we process the hay and straw lines of our small animal bedding range. 

Over 1.5 million individual bales and bags are manufactured at this site each year. These products are stocked in some of the UK's largest retailers either as our Snowflake brand or as an own label brand. 

But our Boston site wasn't always a Plevin site and began as the home of Snowflake Woodshavings. A well respected and known brand in the equestrian field, Plevin purchased the Snowflake business in May 2005, and has continued to grow the brand over the last decade.

In 2008, we installed a £2 million fully automated hay and straw processing and baling plant which enabled us to increase our portfolio of Snowflake small animal product lines.
